Instructors
Michael Kim, Head Instructor (Sifu)
Michael has over 26 years of martial arts training and teaching experience. He was fortunate to devote many of those years to full-time training, often for more than six hours a day. In addition to both traditional and contemporary Chinese martial arts, he has also trained in tae kwon do, Shotokan karate, kenpo, the LINXX system of "mixed" martial arts, and jiu jitsu. His gongfu training has been under masters in styles such as Tien Shen Pai as well as the Wuji system of qigong. His combat style has been described as "very intuitive" by Shaolin master Liu Xiangyang. He has also trained at schools supervised by Pat Rice and Nick Gracenin, who were among the first Americans to bring Chinese martial arts to the US in the 70s and 80s. Michael is also a professional musician and teaches in the humanities for the University of Colorado and Colorado College.
